Visual Art

Hey bloggers!! For the past week we have been doing visual art on endemic animals.
  1. We had to choose one animal, I chose Hector's dolphin.
  2. We had to paint a piece of paper white.
  3. We had to get a picture of our animal we chose and draw an outline of it in a google drawing or doc.
  4. My teacher printed them off then we had to scribble an outline of it.
  5. Then we had to press the printed picture on the painted page and on the other side of the scribble we used a pen to make an outline. When I pulled off the printed paper there was an outline on the painted page! (Some of it wasn't there.πŸ˜‹)
  6. We started to draw the geometric shapes inside the shape the animal we chose.
  7. After that we started to paint the picture.
  8. Next we painted another layer of paint for the background. I had to do white because I had black paint on my dolphin.
  9.  I did the finishing touches and then I was done!
It took a lot of time but I finished it. Here is a picture of it.
The part I liked about it was when we started to colour it in.
If I could change the colour I would colour it sky blue, dark blue, pink and purple.

My teacher put a border around it so here it is🠟.

Here it is with the border.

  1. Hi Skye, Abby here from Hauraki,
Wow, I love how you picked the hector dolphin as it is native and endangered. It reminds me of when I painted a Tui and I had to use a toothpick for the feathers.
Next time I would make sure your photos fit on the page and you have a conclusion at the end. Apart from that I think you did very well. If you would like to check out my blog it is http://wpsabbym.blogspot.co.nz/.
    Blog you later, Bye.
